Inkvellum is a place to read and publish serial fiction. This page explains, in plain terms, what information the site handles, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details you give us: username, e-mail address, display name, an optional bio, and a securely hashed password (or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google).
- What you create: novels, chapters, comments, likes and upvotes. Published work and comments are public by design.
- Reading data: reader settings, reading progress, so the site can pick up where you left off on any device.
- Technical data: IP address and basic request details, kept briefly for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
How we use it
To run your account, show your work to readers, keep the site secure and answer support requests. We don't sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Edit your profile or change your password in account settings.
- Delete your account there at any time. This removes your profile and comments; it can't be undone.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser. Essential cookies are needed to stay signed in.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your data, or to object to certain processing.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Security logs are short-lived.
Children
Inkvellum isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let signed-in users know on the site.
